Chelsea’s Dastan Satpayev Joins Burnley on Season-Long Loan for 2026-27

Burnley have confirmed the signing of Dastan Satpayev, the young Kazakhstan winger from Chelsea on a season-long loan. Satpayev, who made the move from the Blues to Burnley just two days after celebrating his 18th Birthday has agreed on a six-year deal with his new club, with the option of a further 12-months extension at the Stampford Bridge.

The teenage player had completed the move to England from Kairat FC having pre-agreed to join Chelsea in January 2025 on a transfer fee of £3.4m. Speaking about the move to Burnley, Satpayev said, “I'm very pleased to be here. It's a great opportunity for me in my career and a great club to show what I can do and help the team get back to where they belong. It's my first time playing in England and I'm ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley.”

Satpayev's move is one of the many loan moves of the week that involved Chelsea. Earlier, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen joined Portsmouth, Reggie Walsh moved to Wigan Athletic and Shim Mheuka is also nearing a move away.
