Arsenal are exploring defensive reinforcements after William Saliba was ruled out for an extended spell with a back injury, while Liverpool have overtaken PSG in the race to sign a highly rated winger.
The transfers in the premier league is gaining pace as teams are busy finalising the deals with their new signings. While others are still exploring new options and looking for replacements.
The Gunners (Arsenal) are all set to sign a centre-back this summer after the team official earlier confirmed that the Premier League title winner, William Saliba has been ruled out for an extended period due to an injury to his back. The north London team could potentially look at Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa or John Stones, the centre-back who previously played for Manchester City as a replacement for Saliba.
Arsenal are also set to fast track the signing of the Newcastle captain Bruno Guimares but it is reported that Magpies are frustrated by the lack of contact from the Premier League Champions in what could turn into a protracted transfer saga. Newcastle are also holding a fee similar to Sandro Tonali’s potential move to Tottenham Hotspur for a reported price of £100m.
Andoni Iraola, Liverpool’s boss has set his target for the transfer window and he has confirmed that the Reds will definitely need to sign a winger this sumer. The club reportedly has an eye for signing Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco in whom the French club Paris Saint-Germain are also quite interested to sign. For Liverpool Bradley Barcola is also a target.
Manchester United are still interested in strengthening their midfield and adding another midfielder to the squad after completing the signing of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos. They are reportedly in talks with Roma for France international Manu Kone. Meanwhile, Chelsea have agreed to loan Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa after their record signing of Morgan Rogers.
