Unal completes move from Bournemouth to Getafe

Enes Unal leaves Bournemouth to rejoin Spanish club Getafe.
Enes Unal has moved from Bournemouth to rejoin the Spanish club Getafe. The 29-year-old striker from Turkey leaves the English club on a free transfer, although Bournemouth could receive up to £1.3m in bonus plus 20% of any future sale.
During his tenure at England, Unal had suffered many injuries, making only 58 appearances for his Club. He scored five goals for the Cherries, who were also keen to reduce their wages bill.
Unes had arrived at Bournemouth on loan from Getafe in January 2024 before making the move a permanent one for a fee about £13m later that same year. Talking about Unal’s move back to Getafe, an official statement from Bournemouth said, “A popular figure within the squad, Unal leaves having made a positive impression both on and off the pitch during his time with the cherries. AFC Bournemouth would like to thank Enes for his efforts during his time with the clun and wish him every success for the future.”
Bournemouth were close to completing their summer transfer business, and are not working on a move that could allow full-back Max Aarons leave the club.
