WTC 2025-27 Points Table: Pakistan Slips to Last Position After Defeat Against West Indies; Where Does India Rank?

As per the latest WTC 2025-27 Point Table rankings, Pakistan has slumped to the bottom of the table after they suffered a 90-run defeat against West Indies in the first test of two-match series. Pakistan displayed a disastrous batting performance, after a dramatic collapse in the first innings, the team showed little resistance in the second innings and were bowled out for 120 while chasing a target of 211 at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad.

This defeat was Pakistan’s eight straight loss in tests away from home, leaving them with just one win from five matches so far in the ongoing WTC cycle and a points percentage of 6.66. Despite their win against Sri Lanka earlier this month and the first test against Pakistan remain in the lower half of the rankings table at number 8 position. They too have only two wins from 11 tests so far.

India are currently placed in the middle of the pack in fifth position with four wins, four losses and one draw from their last nine matches. Meanwhile, Australia continue to be at the top of the table ahead of the Proteas, who are the defending champions.

In their first innings, West Indies put up a respectable total of 311. Their batting was led by Shai Hope and Kevam Hodge who scored 92 and 82 respectively. Pakistan, in their first innings, started well and looked very much on course to take a lead. But despite a century-making effort by Shan Masood, Pakistan suffered a collapse with Justin Greaves producing a record-breaking spell of five consecutive wicket-maiden overs.

In their second innings, the hosts slumped to 93 for 7 and Pakistan looked confident to wrap the innings quickly. But a strong resistance with the bat by the West Indian tailenders Kemar Roach and Shamar Joseph saw them build a crucial 61-run partnership and eventually they set Pakistan a target of 211.

The visitors batting collapsed under the relentless pressure built by the West Indian bowlers and they were bowled out for just 120 runs. Only Babar Azam showed patience and resilience, as he remained unbeaten on 58. It was Jayden Seales who starred with the ball this time as he took 5 for 20, while Greaves, and Roach picked up two wickets each to seal a memorable win for the West Indies.
