Liverpool Complete £123m Signing of PSG and France Forward Bradley Barcola

Liverpool football have finished all the formalities to complete the signing of France’s forward, Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain (PSG) for a fee worth up to £123m. It is reported that PSG initially valued the transfer of the 23-year-old at £145, but Liverpool will pay an initial fee of £106m and an additional £17m in potential add-ons.

The Frenchman has agreed to sign a five-year contract with The Reds to become the fifth new addition to Liverpool this season, after the team signed winger Victor Munoz, and defenders, Ronald Araujo, Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Jeremy Jacquet. Speaking about moving to Anfield, Barcola said, “It took a long time but I am really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.”

He further added, “I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League - it's one of my biggest dreams in my life. It is to do that and to stay in this team for the long term that is why I signed a long contract, and I hope I can do it.”

Barcola, who will wear the number 29 jersey at Liverpool, prefers to play on the left wing but he has the capability to play on the forward line. The Frenchman is expected to add to depth the Andoni Iraola’s team following the departure of one of their star players, Mohamed Salah, and the absence of Huge Ekitike due to a long-term injury and the potential sale of Cody Gakpo.

Playing for PSG in the last season, Barcola scored 13 goals, and also provided seven assists in 49 games across all competitions. He also featured in all of the eight matches for France at the 2026 World Cup and he scored three goals as the Les Blues failed to make it to the final and eventually bowed out of the tournament with a defeat against England in the third-place play offs.

Barcola came to PSG in 2023 from Lyon for a reported fee of £38.5m and won three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions Leagues, two French Cup and the UEFA Super Cup as well as the FIFA intercontinental Cup.

The fee that Liverpool have agreed to pay includes a solidarity payment PSG owe Lyon as part of the deal that took Barcola to Paris three years ago.
